PHP's SimpleXMLElement and XML Namespaces. - Mullanaphy!

So I decided to use SimpleXMLElement to create simple RSS feeds for Lafango. However there seems to be no easy way to create a simple file like this:

We'll Fight For Uncle Sam! - Mullanaphy!

What a day! What a goal!
USA had the world against them, well at least FIFA refs (you know, the same group of guys that had it out for Ireland). Yet USA stood tall and with sheer determination they fought through and by the aid of Donovan's foot the break through came in the 91st minute.
Wow, my heart raced as I watched the goal blast in from 8 yards back. What a game goal that erased the two stolen goals by the refs. Which personally don't understand why FIFA won't follow hockey's foot steps with ...

Thierry Henry and his 'Hand of God' - Mullanaphy!

That should sum up my mood right now. Even if he was playing basketball he would've been called with traveling...
Anyone else outraged by his actions or worse his commenting on it please feel free to let FIFA know. I sent them this via http://www.fifa.com/contact/form.html
It is absolutely deplorable that FIFA deems it necessary to cover up the fact that Thierry Henry completely changed the course of the game via a blatant and intentional hand ball.
To not even mention that and to hide\delete comments ...

Busy at the Trove - Mullanaphy!

So, I've been working like a mofo at my place of business, TalentTrove, and been making some pretty sweet smut. For example, developed their forums, BackStage, Manage Media\Friends, Uploader, and on the backend a huge chunk on how things communicate with each other.
Anyways won't get into too much details since it's mostly nerdy stuff and the average person will end up wanting to punch me in the sack. Instead I'll just leave you with these links to one of our users, Superstar and Star:

Geeks, Nerds, Dorks. - Mullanaphy!

This post is more of a place holder for another post to come. Here's a little preview:
#!/usr/bin/perl
$geeks = 1;
foreach(0..Inf) {
$geeks++;
$nerds = $geeks+1; # nerds geeks ;)
}
So pretty much, Geeks aren't zeros and they only become better as time goes on infinitely. However Nerds are always 1 step ahead, thus Nerds > Geeks.
Completely unnecessary php dealing with Geeks and Nerds.

Buttersafe Expo 2009! - Mullanaphy!

Buttersafe Expo is coming and it's coming fast. Not being able to make it to California I took it upon myself to start the NJBSX. There will be pizza, chairs, tables, and happiness. Not to mention t-shirts for the first 10 people and Roller Derby later that night.
Details for NJBSX 2009:
April 25th, 2009
4:00pm to 6:00pm
Pete Elda's in Neptune, NJ (Google Map)
Afterwards in Asbury Park there is Roller Derby (all girls!) at Asbury Hall. Starts at 8:00pm, more details: Jersey Shore Roller Girls. ...

Aftermath. - Mullanaphy!

Well, my Saint Patrick's Month was pretty bananas. Flogging Molly ended up being sold out so missed that, while Erin Go Brawl was cancelled.
However Pogues and Wolfe Tones were intense, not to mention Celtic FC winning the Co-Op Cup against Rangers 2-0 in extra time. Saw that with the Woodside CSC, great group of people at Saints And Sinners to enjoy the match with.
The Irish lads did it for Celtic too, O'Dea and McGeady both scoring the winners. Lost my voice that weekend from singing during both ...

For those of you out there that aren't cool, Saint Patrick's Month started last Sunday!
Personally it started with a bang as my boy Jerry and I celebrated the kick off in Belmar. However that was just the start, now is about to go completely bonkers.
Here's my up coming agenda:

13th:Flogging Molly in AC
14th:Pogues in NYC
15th:Wolfe Tones in NYC

I've seen the musical light, mmmmm. - Mullanaphy!

From now on all my music will be 8-bit. Thats right chiptunes are my new interest, if I played an instrument it would be a Gameboy. Think how good video game music was, now think of a new subculture out there utilizing the same technologies to create awesome awesomeness. Sounds pretty awesome to me.
So far Random takes the cake for my favorite creator yet there are many other great ones. Nullsleep speaks for himself in that regard as well as Bit Shifter and Anamanaguchi.
Its some pretty amazing stuff ...

Libertarian girls are hot! - Mullanaphy!

Well heres some ranting on why libertarianism is the way to go.
However here's something quick for a lot of people out there that wanted change. What change do you expect, we've had Democrats and Republicans in office for quite some time and both parties are more worried about keeping that than anything else. Wanted change? Look at what Democrats have done to New Jersey (where I live). Its a battle with Louisiana for the most corrupt state. Its ridiculous and whats even more inane is that their ...

New Stuff. - Mullanaphy!

So yeah, theres a new job. Am now working a 9-5 helping to develop a site. TalentTrove.com is its name and has some good potential to be very entertaining. Examples of my work there would be the redesign of the Media page as well as some of the paginations. Soon the new Categories page will be up. Heres a picture of my workspace:

PennySavers and The Dark Knight. - Mullanaphy!

Alright, this year had some awesome movies. In particular July saw the theatrical releases of The Dark Knight, Hellboy 2, X-Files: I want to Believe, and the most impressive of the bunch, PennySavers: Because Revenge Is Cheap.
PennySavers was an amazing movies about redemption and revenge. Starring Bill Grimek as Fiesty McJustice with a supporting cast of Tom Pollock, John English, Bill "One Armed Ninja" Gibson, Chris Stein, and John Mullanaphy, I already knew this movie would be Oscar bound. Here's ...
